“Silent Witnesses: three decades after the Chernobyl’s nuclear disaster” photobook was published

“Silent Witnesses: three decades after the Chernobyl’s nuclear disaster” photobook was created with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Dutch scientists and photographers Hans Wolkers and Daan Kloeg made a number of trips in 2012-2013 to the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone while collecting unique photographic materials, testimonies of the witnesses and liquidators of that horrible man-made disaster to create that outstanding book.

The Photobook is the attempt to make that tragic page of Ukraine’s history known to the public abroad, as well as the tribute to the courage of the liquidators of the Chernobyl catastrophe.

Part of the revenues of the book will be used to financially support the self-settlers in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.

The Photobook can be ordered at the project’s web-site www.chernobylwitness.com
